FS#312 - Rendering stuck at 99%

After a long parse period and a relatively quick rendering, POVray gets stuck at 99% when rendering the attached file.

Rendered at 6144x3072px with antialiasing set to 0.3.

Can anyone confirm?

Please be aware that this is a bug tracking system, not a support forum. To discuss whether a problem may or may not be a bug, or whether others can reproduce the problem, please visit http://news.povray.org or news://news.povray.org.

The most common reason for a render appearing to stall at 99% is that one small portion of the image takes significantly longer to render, so that one thread is still busy chewing the last piece of the cake, while the others have already rendered the remainder of the image. Careful visual inspection of the almost-finished render preview often reveals the location, although a large image size may make it a bit difficult to spot, especially in a radiosity scene where the unfinished blocks are not uniformly black.

In your case, this particularly slow region of the image is near 3440;1448: The statue in the small park. It seems that there is a considerable amount of reflecting and refracting going on there. If you're impatient, you may want to reduce your max_trace_level from 50 to some more sane value, or increase your adc_bailout.
